Mobile Account
A PayMax mobile account is a digital mobile account containing money in electronic form and works as a regular bank account to carry out transactions anytime anywhere. PayMax mobile account can be accessed easily using a mobile phone.
Customers from all networks can register for PayMax mobile account
- Zong customers can dial *788# and open their PayMax account
OR
- By simply downloading the mobile application from play store.
You can access PayMax account via USSD(Zong user ) OR by downloading PayMax App from Play store.
PayMax mobile account opening is free of cost for all customers
Customers having an active SIM and a valid CNIC can register for PayMax mobile account.
- PayMax Mobile account can be opened by dialing *788# USSD SHORTCODE if user is a Zong subscriber.
- User will provide his 13 Digit valid CNIC # and CNIC Issuance date
- In case the parameters are validated from NADRA, PayMax account will be opened from USSD
OR
- Download the PayMax mobile application
- Open PayMax mobile application and enter your mobile number. Press “Next” to proceed
- Verify your mobile number by entering the OTP sent to your mobile number
- Once verified, capture/ upload the front and backside of your CNIC and confirm.
- Capture or upload your profile and confirm.
- Enter:
- Name
- CNIC number
- Father/ Spouse Name
- CNIC issuance date
- Accept the terms and conditions of PayMax mobile account opening. Press “OK” to proceed
- Select your mother’s name from the list of options
- Select your place of birth from the list of options
- Create your 5-digit mobile account PIN to continue
Press “Resend SMS” to receive your OTP. This service can be availed for a maximum of 3 times in a day
Account Services
You can view the nearest agent location from PayMax mobile application under “Agent Locator” from menu
Your mobile account PIN verifies your identity when you try to avail PayMax mobile account services
In order to create your mobile account PIN, follow the PayMax account registration process
In order to change your account PIN move to “Change Account PIN” option under “My Profile” from PayMax mobile application menu. Enter and re-enter your new account PIN to proceed.
Also you can change your account pin from USSD menu “My account option >>Change Pin”
In App Press “Forgot PIN” while trying to log into PayMax mobile application. Enter your CNIC number and date of birth for verification. In case verification is successful, you will receive a one-time-pin from PayMax via SMS. Enter the one-time-pin to reset your mobile account PIN OR
In USSD select option Forgot pin from my account and follow instructions by inputting CNIC # and DOB.
PayMax mobile account pin:
- Must be constituted of 5 digits
- Can have a maximum of 3 repetitive digits
- Can have a maximum of 3 consecutive digits
- Should be different from the last three PINs
- Should not be easy as 12345 or 54321
In order to log into a PayMax mobile account, one needs to know their registered mobile number and PIN. For the purpose of security one must keep their PIN confidential.
As per the State Bank of Pakistan, each person is allowed to have a single mobile account based on their CNIC
Customers cannot register for a PayMax mobile account without providing their CNIC details and snapshot
In order to open a PayMax mobile account, customers need to have an active CNIC

PayMax mobile account number is the mobile number on which your account is registered
PayMax mobile account is rendered dormant after 90 days of inactivity
Transaction history for the last 30 days can be viewed using PayMax mobile application. Go to “Account Statement” from mobile application menu. Enter start date, end date and email address. Select “Next” to view details and “Send Now” to receive your transaction history for the selected time period
Current balance is the amount of electronic money held in your PayMax mobile account. Current balance can be viewed from the main menu of mobile application
The maximum amount of money you can send using your PayMax mobile account in one day is your daily sending limit
The maximum amount of money you can send using your PayMax mobile account in one month is your monthly sending limit
The maximum amount of money you can send using your PayMax mobile account in one year is your yearly sending limit
In order to increase your sending limits visit our nearest PayMax agent location for biometric verification
The maximum amount of money you can receive using your PayMax mobile account in one day is your daily receiving limit
The maximum amount of money you can receive using your PayMax mobile account in one month is your monthly receiving limit
The maximum amount of money you can receive using your PayMax mobile account in one year is your yearly receiving limit
In order to increase your receiving limits visit your nearest PayMax agent location for biometric verification
Visit the nearest PayMax agent in order to deposit and withdraw cash from your mobile account. You can view the nearest agent location from PayMax mobile application and website
You may receive an error message due to one or more of the following reasons:
- Your PIN is invalid
- You have insufficient balance in your mobile account
- You have exceeded your daily/monthly/yearly sending limit
Money Transfer
You can send money to any:
- Valid Bank Account
- Mobile Account
From App >> Log into PayMax mobile application:
- Select “Money Transfer”
- Select “Mobile Account”
- Select mobile account, enter receiver’s mobile number and amount
- Select “Next” to view details
- Press “Send Now” to transfer money
OR
In USSD reply with option 1 Money transfer
- Reply with 1 “Mobile Account”
- Reply with 1 “PayMax”
- Select mobile account, enter receiver’s mobile number and amount
- Enter pin to continue
- Successful transaction SMS will be received to both parties i.e. sender and receiver.
You may receive an error message due to one or more of the following reasons:
- Receiver’s mobile account number is invalid
- You have insufficient balance in your mobile account
- You have exceeded your daily/monthly/yearly sending limit
Log into PayMax mobile application:
- Select “Money Transfer”
- Select “Bank Account”
- Select bank, enter receiver’s bank account number and mobile number, amount and purpose of payment
- Select “Next” to view details
- Press “Send Now” to transfer money
OR
In USSD reply with option 1 Money transfer
- Reply with 2 “Bank account”
- Reply with 1 or 2 for Bank account Or IBAN
- Select BANK ACCOUNT
- enter receiver’s Bank Account number, mobile number and amount & purpose pf payment
- Enter pin to continue
- Successful transaction SMS will be received to both parties i.e. sender and receiver.
You may receive an error message due to one or more of the following reasons:
- Receiver’s bank account number is invalid
- You have insufficient balance in your mobile account
- You have exceeded your daily/monthly/yearly sending limit
Log into PayMax mobile application:
- Select “Money Transfer”
- Select “Bank Account” to view the list of banks you can transfer money to using your mobile account
Bill Payment
Log into PayMax mobile application. Select “Bill Payment” to view the list of utility bill types you can pay using your mobile account OR
Zong users can also pay bill via USSD *788# and select option 3 BILL PAYMENT
Utility bill payment is free of cost for all customers
Log into PayMax mobile application:
- Select “Bill Payment”
- Select bill type and bill company
- Enter reference number
- Select “Get Bill” to view details
- Press “Pay Bill” to pay your utility bill OR
- Zong users can also pay bill via USSD *788# and select option 3 “BILL PAYMENT”
You may receive an error message due to one or more of the following reasons:
- You have inserted incorrect bill payment details
- Your PIN is incorrect
- You have insufficient balance in your mobile account
- You have exceeded your daily/monthly/yearly sending limit
Mobile Load
Log into PayMax mobile application:
- Select “Mobile Load/Bundle Purchase”
- Select “Prepaid Topup”
- Select network, enter receiver’s mobile number and amount
- Select “Send Now” to view details
- Press “Send Now” to purchase mobile credit
Mobile credit can be purchased for all networks using PayMax mobile account
You may receive an error message due to one or more of the following reasons:
- You have inserted an amount higher than the maximum amount
- You have inserted an amount lower than the minimum amount
- Your PIN is incorrect
- You have insufficient balance in your mobile account
- You have exceeded your daily/monthly/yearly sending limit
Postpaid bills can be paid using PayMax mobile account:
- Log into PayMax mobile application
- Select “Mobile Load/Bundle Purchase”
- Select “Postpaid Bill”
- Select network, receiver’s mobile number and amount
- Select “Send Now” to view details
- Press “Pay Bill” to pay your mobile postpaid bill
Mobile Bundles
You can purchase Zong internet bundles using PayMax mobile application. Go to “Mobile Bundles” under “Mobile Load/Bundles” from mobile application menu and select “MBB” to view the list of available internet bundles. Select the desired bundle and enter mobile number to view details. Press “Send Now” to purchase that bundle
You can purchase Zong prepaid bundles using PayMax mobile application. Go to “Mobile Bundles” under “Mobile Load/Bundles” from mobile application menu and select “Prepaid” to view the list of available prepaid bundles. Select the desired bundle and enter mobile number to view details. Press “Send Now” to purchase that bundle
